HLS ELT training session needs evaluation

Rob Weale recently ran a HLS staff ELT training needs survey, to gather data that will help him to strategically prioritise training and development sessions in the use of technology for teaching, learning and assessment over the coming year in HLS. These sessions will complement those delivered centrally by CELT.

A menu of 16 potential sessions was presented, from which participants could indicate which of the sessions they would like to attend.

The menu of sessions can be viewed at:

http://celt.our-archive.dmu.ac.uk/hls-training-and-development-sessions/

49 responses were received. Thanks to all of those who responded.

Here is a simple breakdown of the response data, based on session interest.

Sessions prioritised by demand
54% The flipped classroom
52% Online tests, surveys and quizzes in Blackboard
52% Collaborative tools
52% Scenario-based teaching and learning with technology
42% DMU Replay – Editing recordings
42% Using digital media in Blackboard
40% Using rubrics and marking grids in Turnitin

The schedule of the sessions will be announced in the HLS Newsletter, and will be accessible on the CELT Hub at: http://celt.our-archive.dmu.ac.uk/elt-workshop-for-hls/
